Ag Lisinopril 5mg Tablet is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor used to treat high blood pressure and heart failure and to protect the kidneys in people with diabetes.
Who is it for
This medicine is intended for adults with hypertension or congestive heart failure and may be prescribed after a heart attack or to protect kidney function in diabetic patients. It should not be used during pregnancy or by people with a history of angioedema; patients with kidney impairment should seek medical advice.
Dosage
The usual starting dose is 5 mg once daily. Your doctor may adjust the dose between 10 and 40 mg daily to achieve adequate blood pressure control. For heart failure, therapy often begins at 2.5 mg once daily and increases gradually to 5–20 mg daily.
