Exol 5mg Tablet X1000 (benzhexol) is an anticholinergic medication used to treat Parkinson’s disease symptoms and drug-induced extrapyramidal symptoms (movement disorders caused by certain medications).
Who is it for
This medication is for patients with Parkinson’s disease, drug-induced parkinsonism, or extrapyramidal side effects from antipsychotic medications.
Dosage
Starting dose: typically 1mg daily, gradually increased based on response. Usual maintenance dose: 6-10mg daily in 3-4 divided doses. Maximum: 20mg daily. Take with or after food. Your pharmacist may contact you to discuss the gradual titration schedule and proper administration.
