Mectizan 3mg Tablet is an antiparasitic medication containing ivermectin used to treat parasitic infections such as onchocerciasis (river blindness), strongyloidiasis, and scabies.
Who is it for
This medication is for adults and children weighing at least 15kg with parasitic infections. It is particularly effective against certain roundworms and ectoparasites.
Dosage
Dosage is based on body weight. For onchocerciasis: approximately 150mcg/kg as a single dose, may be repeated after 3-12 months. For strongyloidiasis: 200mcg/kg as a single dose.
